Another Thing to Hate

I'm never around elevators often enough to figure out how it works. It should be easy; get in, press the desired floor number, and wait a few until the door opens and you're on the proper floor.

There are two buttons outside an elevator; you're supposed to press your destination (either up or down). I didn't. I thought you're supposed to tell the elevator where you are.

Another thing. There are elevators for the lower floors and the upper floors. The floors are displayed outside and you have to take note of them or else you end up in a wrong floor.

A long time ago, it costed less to ride a bus from Novaliches to Shaw than to ride a bus and the MRT from and to the same location. Not anymore. Boy, am I glad. Taking the MRT is so much faster and a lot safer.

A joke from a local TV show:
Noon:
Pare 1 - Gusto ko nang magpakamatay!
Pare 2 - Di magpasagasa ka sa bus!

Ngayon:
Pare 1 - Gusto ko nang magpakamatay!
Pare 2 - Di sumakay ka ng bus! (because of the bombings, if you didn't get it)
I'm also glad I love walking. It saves me P8.75 from the house to Bayan, Novaliches.

Prologue

The entries written here are based on true stories. Whenever possible, non-factual events and situations are labeled to distinguish the real from the imagined. Yes, sometimes the author can tell the two apart.
